Swing Suite
May 10, 2009: DJ Swing Suite 0.9.1 is released. This first release already features many components and utilities. These include among other things text and number entry fields with validators, formatters and masks, combo buttons, tri-state check boxes, links and extended labels.
Purpose
DJ Swing Suite provides some common components and utilities that are often needed or greatly help the creation of rich user interfaces.
The main components are:
- Text and number entry fields with validation, notification tips, formatters and masks.
- Combo buttons.
- Tri state check boxes.
- Links, which for Java 6+ have a default handler to open web links, files and e-mails.
- Extended labels that allow text to be selectable and/or multiline.
- Titled separators.
- Wide-popup combo boxes, with a popup size that is not limited.
Some additional utilities allow to:
- Layer icons into a single icon.
- Make a scrollpane support auto scroll (when the middle mouse button is pressed).
- Auto fit all or selective columns of a JTable.
- Activate a select-all on focus capability on text components.
- Convert wildcard expressions (containing * and ?) into regular expressions.
The Swing Suite Demo application presents all the functionalities, along with corresponding source code.
